| A circular patch of light in the sky, 22° away from the real Sun. Mock Suns usually appear in pairs, one either side the real Sun, on a circular halo of light, though one may be much brighter than the other according to circumstances. The effect is caused by refraction by ice crystals in the Earth's atmosphere. |
